But out of respect, should always let the other party know in advance you are taking photos. If not, like Aslin mentioned, you will offend people.
Btw Aslin, you should take your case to a lawyer, you could win compensation. Similar thing happened to my friend while riding her bike. She only suffered some bruises, but exaggerated the case a little, and won a couple of thousand dollars.
Should be no problem in taking photos at all if the other agree or disagree or not but kena inform juga. I m giving advise base on traffic police point of view on the accident scene.

Thks Shaz. We dah took our case to a lawyer. My hubby suffered from cuts and bruises, and punctured lungs. 9 days hospitalised coz dey tebuk his paru2 & masukkan tube kasi kembang balik.
My case, hospitalised only for 3 days jer trus doc halau balik coz cuma nmpk abrasions and bruises. (My left leg from knee to ankle colour purple mcm Barney!) Just bcoz xray tak nmpk fractured, they deemed me fit to go home. Even though i keep complaining tat my back hurt the most. They said it's normal coz baru jatuh kat road. Padahal i terbang jauh tau. Lainlah kalau naik tikar pandan terbang!
1 month later, back pain masih lom hilang, dey send me for MRI, and they were shocked to learned that ada 3 parts of my spine fractured, and daerah T7 were permanently compressed. I loss about 10% of height permanently. My knee area plak there's a permanent damage to the nerve. So I loss 'sensation' or rasa mcm partly numb til now, therefor I takleh duduk melutut.
So obviously my hosp check up will drag further, so compensation pon lambat la. Now waiting for hubby punye claim. Heard from lawyer, they already rvc my hubby's medical report from the hosp. Now waiting for report from Traffic Police.
Oh dear, I am so sorry what happened to you and your partner. I know that no amount of money can compensate bad health, but I do pray that you win your case good.
I think people should definitely stop to help others. Me, I even pick-up hitchhikers if they are female and alone. Likewise, I hitchhike when there there is emergency and I am grateful when people stop for me - not that I encourage this habit.

Hitchhiking has many risks of course. But I do it out of necessity - survival. My husband has to move to the city, but I decided to stay behind in the mountain village, and I don't have my car anymore (but will get one this/next year insyallah). Environment is so extreme and harsh sometimes, so hitchhiking is the only way to survive at times, even if its just to run for a loaf of bread. That said, in all the many years I have been here, I have NEVER heard of a crime happening, except one time when the mafia gang came to hunt someone and killed him.
Anyway, back to State's topic........

Yup, This is a humbling lesson for me,,
actually I was so shocked it's happen infront of me,, if I were to ride side by side with her on that fateful morning,, I might be hit by her and I won't be tellin this story,, the road is clear and could easily pick up my bike to pass her car,,, secondly what shock me is tat I might be dead on that morning,, with that kind impaact Kalau a rider would be easily killed...
What was ringing in my ears are,," ya Allah, I could have died leaving my pregnant wife and my unborn baby just now if I picked up my speed..." and left the accident site, still with these words ringing in my ears only I realized that I dah masuk CTE and exiting lentor ave toward yishun, masuk katib and dah sampai blk my mum..
Then I realized that I have left the accident site without rendering asst,, then my head berligar2 thinking what if the driver is criticallly injured,,, i couldn't stop thinking the whole day,, then on Monday after work I make a police report And was told that the driver have minor injury. Confirm kena charged for drink driving. I told the police that the reason I did not stop bcoz I was shocked. Police told me that I was lucky coz the car did not hit me but actually must stop and render assistance...
I was wondering one question let say in general if the driver is critically injured and we did nt stop to render asstance eventhough the accident is self meditated like my case only as a witness are we fully liable for the accident?
