Hi. I read that article too. My hubby and I pun ada discuss about this.  I am very pro tomigrate but my hubby ni ada liat sikit. Macm2 excuse dia buat. I know a family who migrated to Aus and the whole family except for one sibling masih ada kat Singapore. Dey migrated to Melbourne.  They told me life is much better there. Mula mula memang lah susah sikit, nak kena adapt and cari keja. After a year, they felt they prefer there dari sini.  I masih dlm proses pujuk memujuk my hubby to move.

Where would you like to go, Mystic? Any country in mind?

Way of life? It all depends. Anything can happen, its all fate. My own life became totally unbelievable, in both good and bad ways.

I would say, follow your dreams. If you want to live overseas, go for it!

i had a few koligs yang now dah migrate OZ, the one yang latest i heard migrating to NZ next yr, she said kalau tak de degree kena ade skill yang boleh "laku" kat sana. her hb has certs and experience climbing and clean tall tall building using ropes ah..nt gondola, use ropes macam climbing gtu. my fren takde degree pon but bec we work in bank as IT specialist so senang dpt.

i memang teringin sangat sangat nak migrate, dulu OZ but now i nak sgt ke US, my ustazah cum best fren married ang moh Syeikh and now stay at Washington DC, she always email me pics kat sana. teruja sungguh!

now i working at foreign bank, dah berangan mana tahu satu hari nanti dpt keje kat sana jugak..heheh

tapi kalau i nak migrate, i would love to open a restaurant. a halal muslim restaurant. jual makanan melayu, satay, etc etc etc..haiz berangan sahaja...

i imagine these, and i m there..one of the pics my fren kasi yang baru migrate kat Washington DC...

as for me pulak ,wat i know kalau di australia memang ramai org melayu islam yg telah bermastautin di sana..dan disana banyak masjid2,sekolah2 agama dan juga tempat2 makan yg halal...tapi kalau nak bermastautin di US i rasa its not a good idea coz i ada kenalan yg berasal dari sana yg juga beragama islam tapi dia pulak nak sangat dan ber iya2 utk bermastautin di singapura krn menurutnya di US banyak org yg anti dgn org Islam termasuk lah polis dan kerajaan disana...so my nasihat kalau nak bermastautin carilah negara yg ramai org islam yg menetap di sana... thumbup thumbsup

Ianna, that's a very brave thing that your BIL has done. To burn the bridges in Singapore to emigrate to Southampton. But since his wife orang sana I assume he got a safety network to fall back on via his in-laws.

My family ramai yg dok luar negeri. Amongst others my cousins in Sydney and Canada, my own adik in Florida, US.

I am trying to figure out ways to go back to the UK to work. But I am not brave enough to sell my flat here and give up my citizenship just yet.
