Assalamualaikum semua....saya ingin bertanya kenapa ada topik2 yang sedang rancak dibincangkan akan dikunci apabila sign of it straying is discovered?.. Kenapa semua dibiarkan dikunci yang adanya permanently where the subject is left dangling in mid Air...Kenapa mesti moderator diberi hak mengunci? Should we do a vote whether to lock or not and not base on the own judgement of the moderator?

Even the modify icon to edit the thread or posting was dicovered missing, should be my pc problem..anyway i believe this kind of thread that makes the forum alive and may or may not benefit other its up to individual to accept it . Look again, if you open up this forum , is it to share knowledge? vent the anger ? or simply just to pass the time?..only the forummers here has its own way of thinking ...for that i can't elaborate much in details...
Its just my point of view thats all, the reason i m bringing this up is not trying to make fun of the moderator but just that this matter is in my thoughts ...............

You have a point, Mujahideen. I don't think topics should be locked when discussions are still going on. Sometimes people get heated, bertengkar and then terkeluarlah perkara yg tak ada kena-mengena. In this circumstances, thats when the mods should do their duty by moderating.....and that means warning the forumers concerned to behave or try to bring peace between them by adopting the middle ground between 2 'warring' factions. Its actually a skill that moderators should have in general. But if forumers yg dah kena warning insist on berbual merepek jugak, mods should only delete those specific postings yg dah terlampau sangat keluar ring, and not lock the entire thread.

Sejak kebelakangan ini saya pun ada perasan 3-4 topic dikunci.. kerana apa... kerana perbincangan ada yg jauh tersasar tapi ada juga yg boleh diterima pakai tapi dikunci.    walaubagaimana pun itu bukan kerja sayalah..

shaz.... kita diajar supaya tidak mendelete postings org.  Sesungguhnya saya gemar buat kerja splitting & combine postings dari seseorang menjadikan sebuah topic yg berguna.

Bagi saya setiap posting bermakna.  Boleh dijadikan  bukti.. 

Oleh itu kita sebagai orang yg dewasa yg tak perlu diajar lagi sepatutnya berhemah & beradab ketika berforum.  Itu tuntutan agama juga.

Bukti? Bukti untuk apa  ? Is this related to certain 'forum politics' yg saya tak sedar?

But seriously,I'm not too sure about what happened that led forumers to question why their postings have been deleted. Perhaps they said some innocent remarks that were misinterpreted by moderators.....I really dun know the full situation to make comments about it. But in most forums, deleting of unsuitable postings is common and thats the way its normally done. This is afterall a family forum, so some kind of censorship is generally needed. But I think the best censorship is when we learn to censor ourselves before we post.

Anyway, if deleting of postings or locking of threads are not suitable solutions, then what other ways are there? Should mods just buat bodoh or stay uninvolved when things get out of hand? Is that the better way?

biasanya saya tak buat bodoh sbb kalau kita buat2 bodoh berkemungkinan kita akan jadi bodoh .. jadi perkataan yg sesuai ialah.. saya tak kuasalah.    sbb tak suka override.  Cukuplah 1-2 Mods bersuara.

Betul jugak, saya tak rasa ada yg marah atau berniat nak berkonfrontasi disini. Cuma ingin penjelasan, and possibly solutions from mods and other forumers. Kalau tak berdiskusi dengan cara baik, issue won't be resolved.
