Regarding Shalawat on Fridays
Rasulullah salallahu 'alaihi wasallam telah bersabda:

Perbanyaklah shalawat kepadaku pada hari Jum'at dan malam Jum'at.
Sebab barangsiapa yang bershalawat kepadaku sekali, maka Allah melimpahkan shalawat [rahmat] kepadanya 10 kali. (Hadith hassan riwayat al-baihaqi)

Remembrance before sleeping

Shall I not direct you both to something better than a servant? When you go to bed say:
(i)

‘How Perfect Allaah is.’ (thirty-three times)

(ii)

‘All praise is for Allaah.’ (thirty-three times)

(iii)

‘Allaah is the greatest.’ (thirty-four times)
…for that is indeed better for you both than a servant.’

Taken from, hadith
Sahih Muslim: No. 6577 CHAPTER: THE RECITING OF SUBHAN ALLAAH IN THE MORNING AND AT THE TIME OF SLEEPING

It is reported on the authority of Ali that Fatima had corns in her hand because of working at the hand-mill. There had fallen to the lot of Allaah's Prophet (sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam) some prisoners of war. She (Fatima) came to the Prophet (sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam) but she did not find him (in the house). She met A'isha and informed her (about her hardship). When Allaah's Prophet (sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam) came, she ( A'isha) informed him about the visit of Fatima. ABah's Messenger (sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam) came to them (Fitima and her family). They had gone to their beds. 'Ali further (reported): We tried to stand up (as a mark of respect) but Allaah's Messenger (sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam) said: Keep to your beds, and he sat amongst us and I felt coldness of his feet upon my chest. He then said: May I not direct you to something better than what you have asked for? When you go to your bed, you should recite Takbir (Allaah-o-Akbar) thirty-four times and Tasbih (Subhdn Allaah) thirty-three times and Tahmid (al-Hamdu li-Allaah) thirty-three times, and that is better than the servant for you.

A Sunnah Many Overlook: Two Rakah for Repentance

Abu Bakr As-Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) said the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “Any person who sins then performs wudu correctly and prays and afterward seeks Allah’s forgiveness Allah forgives him.” Then As-Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with ) recited the verse” And those who when they commit an indecency or do injustice to their souls remember Allah and ask forgiveness for their faults-- and who forgives the faults but Allah, and (who) do not knowingly persist in what they have done.{ Al-Imran 135}

Collected by Abu Dawud (1521) At-Tirmithi (406) Ibn Majah (1395) and Ahmed (1/2-8-9-10) graded as being Hasan by At-Tirmithi, Ibn ‘Adee, Ibn Kathir, At-Thahabee and Al-Albani (may Allah have mercy on them all)

Ibn Taymeyah (may Allah have mercy on him) said,” It is a recommended act for every person who sinned to perform Wudu then pray two Rak’ah [ Majmou Fatawaa vol 21 / 139]

Ibn Al-Arabee (may Allah have mercy on him) mentioned some beneficial remarks about this hadeeth He wrote the following in ‘Aaridatul Ahwathi Bi Sharh Sunnan At-Tirmithi [ Vol 2 page 167 . Printed by Darul Kitabul Ilmeeyah]

This hadeeth shows the superiority of the Wudu, the prayer and the act of seeking Allah’s forgiveness

This hadeeth explains verse 135 in surah Al-Imran.

This hadeeth shows how the servant carries out acts of obedience in repenting. First the servant feels regret which purifies him internally. Then he makes wudu. Next he prays. And after he finishes praying he seeks the Most Merciful’s forgiveness.
