rabu ptg, my doter berak2 tapi i tgk no rashes..
den khamis pagi pas mandikan my doter, tiba2 ternmpk rashes kat buttocks.. den chk temp dia 37.5..
so i tarohkan fever plaster kat forehead..
den i chk tgn & kaki ada rashes..
so i bawa dia pi doc..
Doc pastikan HFMD..
alamak i shocked n tertanya pd diri camne leh kena plak sdgkan abg dia skool tkde pe2 pon..
 

n nw i risau & takot abg dia berjangkit...
doc kata pregnant lady easily infected jgk, betol ke?

My 2 kids both Zikry and Dani kena HMFD last year while swimming at my MIl Condo...Stress tapi Alhamdulillah tak meragam sangat. I sent them to the doctor and the doctor which i sent give me a very good advise. He say in order for the HMFD not to attack the kids again there are few precaution that u have to take right after they recover i.e.
1. Once they fully recover, to "park" the kids somewhere like MIL's place;
2. Take all the toys....yes SEMUA mainan mainan and wash it with warn water and put 3 caps of Dettol and bersihkan serbersih bersih nya; and dry it kat sun,
3. Soak and Wash all bedsheet, blankets (Anything that the kids touch) with warm water and jangan lupa Dettol;
3. Next, take small pail of ward water with Dettol and wipe the whole house i.e. furniture, sofa, bed frame, cabinet that are within reach of the kids throughly.
It seems a lot and lots of work to be done but this is all to prevent from the kids getting second attack of the HMFD...
I've got a friend whose both kids get it for 4 time in a year and after i told her that the kids may be recover but there are still germs somewhere there and she has to clean the house with Dettol. Alhamdullilah so far so good . Entah its not that i am promoting DETTOL but i would suggest all the parents to do the through cleaning after the kids fully recover.

yelah i also became so wary of swimming pool these days....
the last time my boy went inside into one, esok hari aje dia kena demam & badan kena rashes-like redness gitu...

nabil had hfmd 25th of last mth..
nie i baca pasal pool....we did swim before he had fever...
but his childcare toddler group...i think almost all came down with hfmd....
so tak tahu lah jangkit dari mana....

and yes...pas doc confirm he got hfmd...
i took haf day leave for the whole week...
and rumah ku smell mcm clinic...bau dettol jer...
buang mana mainan yg dah tak di main lagi...
the remaining toys cleaned with air dettol...
soft toys masuk washing machine.....

nabil taknak makan pasal mulut sakit..
2 days after the onset...he kena stomach flu...
drink air pon muntah....sampai dia ckp...
"Ibu im thirsty..."
brought him to PD....got a bullet up his rear end to stop the vomiting....
keeping him well hydrated is important.....

he really lost a lot of weight...
baru nak kejar bayang2 15kg....susut till 13kg 

baik hfmd tak sampai 1 week...sekolah 1 hari jer...
then demam and batok....tak sekolah lagi 1 week...
lemak berkrim darling tak sekolah 3 minggu.... *sch fees jalan trus..ceh!*
since tuesday i send him to sch....mcm first week sekolah...
tiap2 pagi meraung

mmg kalau budak dah masuk sekolah/childcare, selalu sgt kena sakit lah...esp that HFMD...since it can reoccur, i pon very wary seh...

bab tu..after baik hfmd...sekolah 1 hari jer..
balik demam....trus ku belek2 satu badan...
like every hour i tanya mulut sakit tak....
and do visual check...
pasal once 1 ulcer kluar..
the rest will just pop like nobody business....

though sakit...
he enjoyed dimanjakan oleh nyai aunty(mil) and nyai tante (my mum)
now bercintan betol dia kena balik sekolah....

My son's nursery at PCF Centre organised an outing to Pasir Ris Park last Friday, 12/3/10.
But Saturday morning, we discovered that he had a fever. We gave him parecatemol. Not long
after that, he started complaining he had a toothache. Both me and my hubby thought that it
was just a normal toothache yang mana mungkin ada lagi gigi yang nak tumbuh di gusi belakangnya.

However, at 1am in the morning, my son tak boleh tido dan asyik cakap mulut dia sakit berulang kali.
He started to shiver. Menggigil kuat pulaktu.....I cepat2 selimutkan dia and sms my hubby who was
working night shift on that day. Setengah jam kemudian, my hubby pun tiba di rumah just to see how
was our son's condition. Before that, our son muntah lendir. We checked on him and found that he had
a big ulser on the side of his tongue.

Since yesterday was a Sunday, we decided to bring him to KKH A&E clinic for children. Doktor mengesahkan
our son terkena HFMD! After we got home, we noticed that he had some kind of bintik2 ruam di lengannya,
di bawah betis dan di punggungnya. Yang merisaukan kami suami ister ialah, dah 2 hari dia tak nak makan
sebab sakit di lidahnya. Kesian I tengok dia....at times, he screem bila dia rasa lidahnya terlalu sakit. Nak makan
ubat pun, kena pujuk berulang kali. Tu pun makan ubat dengan sambil nangis pasal pedih.....

Biasanya, kalau budak2 kena HFMD ni, berapa hari baru sembuh sepenuhnya ye?

depend. kadang sampai seminggu. my son abt 3-4days.. during that time susu baik breastmilk or botol dia tak nak. but i kasi dia bubur cair2 plus ice cream. its cooling.. and another thing kasi dia air yg sejuk sedikit instead air panas..

u need to mop berulang kali and maybe u want to make ur both sons pakai stokins instead bear foot. ar.. another thing.. jgn cium sangat ur son takut either 1 of u kena.. coz my case, my suami kena juga HFMD jangkit anak dia.

As for my eldest son, he took 7 days to fully recovered. Dia tak banyak sangat ruam merah2 kat lengan dan lututnya....cuma ulser pat tepi lidah dia tu yang teruk sikit. My sis yang mana 4 orang anaknya pun pernah kena HFMD tahun lalu pun, was shocked to see my son's ulser....besar dan panjang pulak tu. Mana tak 4 malam asyik meraung kesakitan je bila nak pujuk suruh makan atau minum air. I rasa my son kena pun, sebab dia suka gigit2 whatever benda yang ada kat depan mata....batu ke, kayu ke, besi ke, plastic ke..

Tapi alhamdulillah....that ordeal is finally over. My eldest son pun dah sembuh sepenuhnya dan appetite dia meningkat balik macam biasa. Though my 2nd son pun terjangkit HFMD juga dari abangnya, syukur dia kena cuma sipi2 je. Walau ada ruam kat siku dan tapak kakinya.....he didn't show any difference in his daily activities.

Dulu I cuma dengar je pengalaman orang. Anak orang yang terkena dan menderita pun, I dah rasa kesian. Apa lagi bila terkena kat anak sendiri. Berat mata memandang, berat lagi bahu memikul.  For safety precaution and to prevent such thing reoccur again, kami suami isteri pun ada buat langkah2 pembersihan rumah menggunakan Dettol sepertimana nasihat dari danizick in the previous posting.

baru2 ni my no 3 n 4 kena HFMD. panik sekejap takot no 1 n 2 kena tapi alhamdulillah tk.
