please = min fadhlak

Shukran =  thank you

good morning = sabaahul khair

good evening = masaa ul khair

Goodbye =  ma'a salamah

Great = raa i'

Excellent = mumtaz

Good =  jayyid

bad = sayyi'

ugly = radii' / qobeeh

big = kabiir

small = saghir

cheap = rakhiis

expensive = ghaal

clean = nadhiif

dirty = waasikh

easy = sahl

difficult = sa'ab

heavy = tsaqeel

light = khafeef

tall = thoweel

short = qasheer

Expressions and other adjectives part 2

hot, warm (usually for food or drinks) = saakhin, daa fi'

cold = baarid

narrow = dayyiq

wide  =waasi'

open = maftuuh

shut / close = mughlaq

busy = masghool

free / vaccant = fariigh

free (purchase items)  =majjanan / balash ('ammiyah)

less or lil bit = qoleel

a lot =  kathir

fat = tsamiin

thin = raqeeq / rafii' / naheel / naheef

Some command (command tense: fi'il amr)

Go! = Idzhab

Seat! = Ijlis

Stop! = Qif

Listen! = Ismak or Istami'

Pay attention! = Intabih

Break! = Iksir

Beat! = Idhrib

Wash ! = Ighsil

Quiet! = Uskut

Eat! = kul

Say! = Qul

Get Down! = Indzil or IHbith

Open! = Iftah

Close! = Ighliq

Switch on! = Shaghil

Switch of! = Ithfi

Take! = Khuz

Ask! = is'al

Write = uktub

Read = Iqra'

And there are many more..... ;D

However it is preferable for you to say min fadhlak or lau samaht =  please , after u use the command tense....

Some simple phrases in buying or purchasing in market or shops

How much is this? = Bi Kam hadza?

Do you have............? = hal 'indak.........?

example:

do you have (sell) a pen? = hal 'indak qalam?

I am looking for......... =  ana abhats 'an ...........

example

I am looking for a drees. = ana abhats 'an fustaan.

When does it open? = Mata yaftah?

When does the shop open? = Mata yaftah addukkan / subermarket / matjar....?

When does it close? = mata yaqfil?

What's the price? = kam si'r?

How many are there? = kam 'adad hum

I want this =  Ureed hadza

I want something cheap = Ureed shai' rakhees

I want something big = Ureed shai' kabeer

I want something small = Ureed shai' sagheer

I want to go to.......... = Ureed an adzhaba ila.........(bahasa fushah) / Ana biddu raayah ...... (bahasa pasar)  ;D

ok ok we use proper one ok....

Ureed an adzhaba ila......



house = baiti

market = suuqi

room = gurfah

toilet = hammaam (stress he meem) hammaam = toilet but hamaam = pigeon

kitchen = mathbakh

balcony = sharfah

shopping centre = suuq al markadzi / suubermarket

airport = mathaar  (tho and alif.....stress its longation) mathaar = airport but mathar= rain

school = madrasah

workplace = dawwam

office = maktab

factory = masna'

garden = hadeeqah

beach = sahhti'

hotel = funduuq

museum = mathaf

zoo = hadeeqatul hayawanaat

field = saahah  / haql

playground = mal'ab

restaurant / eating place = math'am

hospital = mustashfa

clinic = mustaushaf

kindergarten = raudhatul athfal

theater = masrahiyah
