Malay Maid Agency vs Non-Malay Maid Agency

Which one would you go to hire your maid, from a Malay Maid Agency or Non-Malay Maid Agency.  Just nak share with all of you the bad experience which one of my friends had from a particular malay maid agency located at Tanjong Katong Complex. Which before  she took her previous maid from a non malay agency and she was satisfied with the service they offered. The bad experiences she had were a string of bad communication & empty promises.

- upon booking & deposit, said the selected maid already have her passport so no probz in coming fast to here
- after booking, said maid got no passport and will be delayed.
- waiting period from 1 wk drag to 3 wks and no notification to my friend, instead she have to keep calling the agency for the updates. when called kept blaming the Indonesian agent for delaying things.
- maid now in S'pore, my friend got to delay in picking her up due to work constraint as she had applied leave as the 1st date they promise, so now dah takleh apply leave lagi ,then they want to charge fees for not able to sign the WP application ontime. After making a big fuss, only then they let the runner to come by my friend's workplace to get her signature.
- asked to speak to the boss, but keep saying not in town.

I have my maid from a Malay agency too, but not from there, the service was good, that I don't deny, but found out later, the replacement fee I had to bear for changing my maid doubtful. Are all the Malays service provider only go for the cash and not service? We have alot of bad incidents involving them, so as a consumer should we continue to support them despite of some hiccups we received? Then again, not all Malays service providers are bad, itz only a small bunch of them which are otherwise..

i pun baru came across abt the replacement fee after i nak reject my current maid.. time abik dia mula -mula , mungkin tak perasan ke apa.  bila part nak tukar.., i thot one to one exchange tapi..alahai.. kene top up lagi.. boring seh..  i abik dari malay maid agency..

erm cakap pasal tanjong katong tuh..i took a maid from nur employment.. it had been 5 years with me and she is doing fine... i dunno how bout others..my mum is sooo sastified and she did a great job of cleaning the house.. she also hormat orang when datang...

during the admin stuff,
had her passports ready and she is willing to fly anytime..
her package is so affordable and layanan mesra..

memang tidak boleh dinafikan , abik maid ni nasib.  my first maid, i abik dari Jo-Ann,  maid keje dgn i from 2000-2006 (nov)- kita anggap dia mcm keluarga sendiri.  Anak bongsu i, lebih pilih dia dari I(ibunya),  bila dia dah taknak sign on, my nite mare begin..
I decide to switch agency, i pilih Nora Agency sebab nampak offer 288/- package.. pilih-punya pilih.. dapat maid yang baru, blood go upstairs.. dgn budak -budak takde connection langsung.., gosok baju (hancur),  suka baca buku, masak jgn ckp, (goreng telur pun boleh hangus, goreng ikan : lagi boleh tanya i - "mem mcm mana balik ikan ini"), - keje rumah i tak kisah sangat tapi dgn anak anak i, mcm tak ikhlas dia jaga, mcm takde motherly touch langsungg.. Tak pandai abik ati budak.. ,

Bila i nak replace, baru i tersentak dgn cost cost yang ada kat terms and condition.  Kalau i antar maid balik kat agency dia, i will be charged 10/- per day for lodging until the maid get the new employer..eg. kalau maid tu takde org nak abik dia , i have to pay 10/- everyday until 21days (maximum). 
Jadi kalau new replacement i dah dapat, i still need to continue to pay 10/- per day (lodging) for the maid yang i reject tu.. -- mcm tak fair je.. 10/- PER DAY seh !!!

to add up...my maid nih kene ikat borne...for 2 years.. kalau maid lari rumah ker aper ker...kita kene baya...50k ....mana nak carik tuh..kalau me afford pon..tak kan nak baya sey...so kite kene amik hati..dorang

tu mcm pernah dengar. it is under bond protector.  its an optional whether you want to take up this option ke tidak.  for that we need to top up around 70dlr.- incase of maid lari,  agent yang tanggung kalau kita take up that insurance tu.. :o i think before we sign anythin,  better read the fine prints.. for my case,  i assume i will not be facing any maid problem sebab my previous maid goes well for the past 6 years.  tapi di sangka panas sampai ke petang, rupanya hujan di tenghari.. bila part abik maid baru, disaster struck. mungkin i silap jugak, bila part replacement clauses , i tak really pay attention sehingga ler terkena batang hidung sendiri. :-X

i pun amik maid from malay agency, yg kt depan masjid kassim, the maid ok, we're satisfied very much, the maid did a gd job, dia punye job jaga my 4 kids

Hmm; dats the endless story of a maid. I sendiri so far been using 3 maids already since my kids was small. So far all my maid stayed input wif me for more than 2 yrs, they renew their contract at the end of their 2 yrs term. 

Wat I can said or comment here, we are handling wif human being in which for sure the way they comprehend things mmg sgtlah slow. Masa mula2 mmg darah selalu sj up; nk kena byk bersabar bukan 100 times tp 100 thousand times :o

Tp if ure talking abt maid agency, susah jg nk comment ek; but its their individual way of running out business in business which differs fm the chinese; wallahualam

dear all....act i'm looking for tis topic....i tgh pening kepala...act i dah sign up with a non-malay maid agency...but rasa cam nak cancel till i read tis topic...act its a chinese co..but agent tu is a malay...recommend by my hubby fren...so this agent recomment me & a hubby a transfer maid....maid nie dulu kerja kat malaysia for 4 yrs with a chinese family looking after 4,8 & 10 yo.  tu tak kisah lah as long as expierience..tapi kenapa eh dorang nya biodata eg....tul ke semua maid in dorang punya biodata its e same...got questions like can you handle pork? can you take care of dog(s), cat(s) and bird(s)? to eat chinese food provided by your employer? semua nya answer dia yes....

apa pendapat u all?....apsal dorang semua taruk yes....takkan mkan babi atau pegang anjing cam takde values kan?..i've compare a few muslim indonesian maid smlm...but all answer is the same...semua yes...

wat kind of question yg kita nak tanya dia time first jumpa??...act smlm ada jumpa maid nya looks pleasant...tak cantik sgt but ok lah...wat i see is hormat and lemah lembut but looks very matured walau umur 29yo..married with 1 kid...

actually i dah sign kat satu non-malay agent nie....but not sure nak teruskan ke tak coz me cari maid yg kuat pegangan agama...yg know the correct islam values...yg tau ngaji...sembahyang...i tak leh tido semalaman fikirkan psal dia nya biodota...although i think personnally she's quite ok...tts why i think klau ambik kat agency melayu..will it be the same also?...will i get someone yg tak sentuh babi or anjing or eat chinese food?...or all agency is e same...its a standard question?....

pls help me...i'm in dilema....my mum asyik bising suruh cari maid....coz she cant cope...i act wants to quit but hubby or mum tak kasi...act my children all quite easy to look after....even my mum say so...tapi ntah lah dia tak leh cope..i'm really stress now...

once if you have sign-up for any of maid-agency, they will process your application. if you want to cancel , you should inform them ASAP.  Your agent fee sure will be hangus if you wanna to cancel with them.  If you sign on with other agency, you will need to fork out other $$ for that agent fee.
